June, 2013: Dish to Pass
June Dish to Pass
Five — count ‘em — Five Mentors!
- Fuzzy Duenkel
- Teri Shevy
- Rick Trummer
- Pierre Stephenson
- Jim Schoonover
Terri L. Shevy, Master Photographic and Digital Artist
When mentoring I like to take two very important approaches. Demonstrate and then direct. I do not claim to know more then what I will show… but yet what I have been using in my studio can be applied to various types of sessions and has for me been very well received and successful!
I will be demonstrating the lighting, posing and capture techniques I used in the sample images provided. One thing that I have been using that has become invaluable to me is “strobes on location” with modifications. I no longer have to plan my location shoots (which has been key to my style for over 19 years) according to the natural light (that we all know may not always be ideal!) After I demonstrate and explain in detail what I am doing I will gladly hand off my transmitter so you can give it a whirl so be sure to bring your cameras… and join me as I hope to inspire you in what I consider “keeping it real in a fantasy world”.
