What’s What and Who’s Who
About the Web Site
Some areas are only accessible to SEWPPA members — a username and password are required, and, of course, only SEWPPA members receive those.
Publicly Accessible:
Home takes you back to the very first page in the site.
About SEWPPA heads a section that is, well, about SEWPPA.
A Little History is just that — a short history of the organization, written by one of our past Presidents, Rose Goodstone. (There’ll be a pop quiz at the start of first period tomorrow.)
There are some real good reasons for joining SEWPPA, and they are listed under Benefits.
Code of Ethics: SEWPPA members agree to abide by a Code of Ethics. You can read about it here, and see that being a SEWPPA member carries certain responsibilities. And using a SEWPPA photographer guarantees a high level of professionalism and service.
Contact SEWPPA: the central location for our email addresses.
The Archives contain past e-newsletters (in PDF format), some documentation regarding the adoption of the current Constitution and Bylaws (as of June 7, 2004), and past Print Competitions.
Articles: Occasionally there will be something for professional photographers (and/or their clients) published in a magazine or another web site. When we get permission to reprint such articles, they’ll appear here.
We have our own Forum, and it’s even open to the public.
Join SEWPPA: Membership is open to any professional photographer, any vendor of photographic products and/or services, and aspiring photographers.
LookForAPhotographer.com is our public searchable directory of SEWPPA members.
Meetings are listed by date. As information becomes available, it gets posted here. SEWPPA members receive a substantial discount of the meeting fee, and while meetings aren’t open to the public, professional or aspiring photographers, vendors, or employees of SEWPPA members can come to a meeting at the non-member rate.
Print Competition/ICE: SEWPPA members have the opportunity to have their photographic images judged and critiqued by their peers. And while the opportunity itself is only open to SEWPPA members, there’s no reason why everyone shouldn’t be able to view the “winners” on the Home Page. You can also get some advice regarding good Folios/Composites, and see what comprises the Twelve Elements of a Competition Print.
